A little about me...

I was born in Edmonton, AB, Canada, and currently live there as well. Although, I hope to settle down either in the US, Vancouver, or Paris, France. I've traveled to many places and have grown to love experiencing new cultures and environments, in particular, the time I spent living in Japan. I had learned to speak Japanese in High School, and always wanted to go to Japan, since I learned to draw from an anime obsession when I was younger. I have since branched out, and adopted new techniques and styles. The works of Marvel Comics and Disney have always inspired me, Michael Turner's works being a large influence, as well as the work of Glen Keane, Brian Froud, Strype, Jen Seng, Chris Sanders, Matt Rhodes and Chad Michael Ward.

I've always been inspired and motivated by my grandfather, Denis "Stan" Stainthorp, who was an amazing commercial and graphic artist when he was alive. My grandfather always wanted to be an animator at Disney, but did not take the opportunity when it was presented to him, because he wanted to stay and be a father to his family. I hope that one day I can continue his dream, and make him proud.

Ever since I can remember, I've idolized the amazing people at Disney, and it has been my dream to work on a princess movie since I was little. My favourite movie was the Little Mermaid growing up, and I've had the pleasure of getting to know some of the artists who have worked on the movie, and many others, during my travels and schooling. I hope that one day I may have fans of my own, aspiring to be like me.

I grew up moving back and forth between Edmonton and Surrey, British Columbia. I practically lived on the beach, and I always feel most free when looking out over the water. I'm also a bit of a coffee junkie.

I've been a singer since before I could talk, the first song I ever learned to sing was "Doo Wa Diddy" by Manfred Mann. I studied choral and performed in the Alberta College Schola Cantorum choirs for 10 years, and I have wanted to branch into Opera singing. Singing is my true passion.

I love to work with fun and creative individuals who can learn and grow from each other. I hope that I can be involved with a project that will inspire many more with their own stories and ideas! I also hope that I can continue to grow and expand my skills and knowledge.
